Principal's Corner
Dr. Brittany Green, Principal
Dear East St. Louis Community,
I could not be more excited and honored to be serving as the Principal of East St. Louis Senior High School. I am committed to the district and to all of you is to serve each student, staff member, and community in a way that honors the rich traditions, as well as keeping a soaring eye toward our growth and future needs.
I’m committed to being student centered and student focused. East St. Louis Senior High School exists to serve students and their needs—I will never lose focus of this. I will do my very best to be responsive and caring.
I wanted to share with you a little bit about my background and experiences. Please note that I have proudly dedicated my entire professional career to East St. Louis School District 189 for nearly 18 years. I have served as a Kindergarten and Second Grade Teacher. I have held administrative roles, from elementary and middle school assistant principal to Principal of Gordon Bush Elementary School and Wyvetter Younge School of Excellence (K-8). My administrative experiences combined with my years of classroom instruction have provided me with a broad range of experience and skills that I am thrilled to bring to my role at the High School.
Please know that I value relationships and working with people. Relationships are the foundation of everything. In closing, I look forward to the exciting work that lies ahead of us. We have talented and dedicated staff, remarkable students, an extraordinarily supportive Board of Education and District Level Administrators, and a vibrant community.
We are READY to work hard and share in our collective celebrations and accomplishments. The best is yet to come!
Dr. Green, Principal
