Gateway Scholars Football Classic

The 2025 Gateway Scholars Football Classic, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Clyde C. Jordan Stadium, has been cancelled due to significant changes in team participation.

 However, two exciting games will still take place as planned. Fans are encouraged to join us at Clyde C. Jordan Stadium in East St. Louis, Illinois to support these student-athletes:

• 11:00 a.m. – Girls Flag Football Game: Belleville East Lancers vs. East St. Louis Flyers
• 1:30 p.m. – Boys Football Game: Mt. Zion Prep Warriors (Lanham, MD) vs. St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL)

Tickets: Admission will be $5 per person at the gate for access to both games.

We appreciate the continued support of our community, families, and fans and regret we are unable to host the full Football Classic this year—an event that would have featured the East St. Louis Flyers, the 2024 Illinois Class 6A State Football Champions.
