Mission Statement:
East St. Louis Senior High School is committed to empowering every student to persevere, learn, and thrive by providing a safe and nurturing environment with opportunities to explore employment, enrollment, enlistment, or entrepreneurship, and by challenging and supporting all students to achieve high levels of learning.
Vision Statement:
East St. Louis Senior High School will create a culture of high expectations and maximized learning experiences as students are challenged by teachers and peers to work collaboratively for overall success. Students will be fully prepared with college and career readiness skills as they advance to compete in a global society fully prepared for their future.

The Burton and Craig Shields Foundation presents Craig Blac's 24th Annual Community Cuts for Kids in East St. Louis on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2 pm to 6 pm.
The Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation is excited to invite families to the East St. Louis Annual Back to School Event on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
East St. Louis School District 189 is committed to ensuring that our students have access to nutritious meals during the summer.
The Summer Feeding Program will run from July 1 through July 31
East St. Louis Senior High School senior Pierre Walton has cemented his place in history, claiming the 2025 IHSA Wrestling Championship in Class 2A (165-pound weight class).
